Forrest is a remote locality and former railway stopping place on the Trans-Australian Railway on the Nullarbor Plain in Western Australia, located 85 kilometres (53 miles) west of the South Australian border. Named after Western Australia's first premier, Sir John Forrest, the settlement was established in 1916 during the construction of the transcontinental rail line.
